Simple turmeric recipes.

Recently I have read about “golden milk” or turmeric (curcumin) milk and its health benefits.
This recipe will be very useful for people who fight with:

  • insomnia

  • fatigue

  • constant irritation

  • swings of mood

  • high blood pressure

  • headaches

I have tried it and liked it.  I will be happy to share the recipe with you.

Golden milk recipe: Turmeric paste + milk + honey = golden milk

Step 1. Make a turmeric paste

– 50 grams (1.75 ounces – ¼ cups) of turmeric powder from your local store or from here.

– 100 ml (½ cup) of water
Add water to the powder and mix all the ingredients in a small pan. Put to the heat and stir the mixture until it looks like a thick paste of the brownish color. It will take you from 5 to 7 minutes. Let it cool, put in a jar and remove to the fridge.

Step 2.

1 glass of coconut (almond, pasteurized cow) milk

1 teaspoon of coconut oil (you can also add a bit of unsalted butter instead)

¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder

1-2 teaspoon of honey

Mix all the ingredients (except honey) in a saucepan, let the mixture heat. DO NOT boil. After you remove the mixture from the heat, add some honey and ENJOY!
you have it before going to bed, I can guarantee that you will be sleeping like a baby 🙂

Another recipe which caught my attention was the recipe with kefir. Kefir is a fermented milk drink good for a better digestion and a slimming effect. Both kefir and turmeric not only fasten metabolism and improve the digestion, but they also suppress appetite and strengthen immune system. This way they are quite a great and healthy combination!
If you are unwilling to cook the golden milk by yourself, you can get it online made of not less healthy products.

Golden kefirturmeric kefir

1 teaspoon of turmeric powder + kefir (fermented milk drink)

Mix it with hot water until completely dissolved (you can also use the turmeric paste from the previous recipe) and add a glass of kefir. Stir carefully.
Drink once a day – in the morning or in the evening.


Turmeric and ginger tea.

I love it! Turmeric and ginger tea has original taste, incredibly refreshing and tasty, not to mention its favorable effect on your system! It is meant to relieve pain and inflammation of any kind.

– 1 glass of water
– 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
– 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
– 1/2 teaspoon of finely chopped ginger

-2 spoons of lemon juice

-honey (marple syrup)

Add all the ingredients in the water, boil them. Then reduce the heat and simmer the drink for 5-10 minutes.
